Ear and Nose Piercing
At Ink and Stone, we specialize in hollow needle ear piercings! No Guns. EVER. Hollow needle is much better for the tissue and is a more sterile method. We only pierce with top of the line titanium, flat back jewelry which comes included in your piercing cost. With a background in nursing/surgery, our owner has made it her mission to create a safe, ultra clean and calming environment for piercings. It's what sets us apart from the rest. We can also offer tandem piercing for the younger girls, which means we can do both sides at the same time!
Age requirement: 4/5 yr (must be able to sit still for 2 step hollow needle process) with parent consent/birth certificate.

More about Piercings
We start piercings little girls age 5 years and older. We require tandem piercing (both sides done at the same time) until age 7 and recommend tandem between the ages of 7 to 9/10). Please be sure to alert us of needing tandem piercing at time of booking. Child must have parent or guardian present at time or piercing. Please bring birth certificate and parent ID for minors under the age of 18.
We only use gold and silver toned titanium to pierce with! It is the best and least reactive metal for the body. We recommend keeping titanium in the piercing for the first year (longer if you have a history of metal sensitivity).
We can not pierce you if you are pregnant or nursing. Please alert us of any medical conditions (such as bleeding conditions) you may have or if you have fainted with needles in the past.
Piercing FAQ's
How long does it take for piercings to heal?
Each area on the ear has its own healing schedule. The lobes heal in 4-6 weeks, helix and nose, about 12 weeks and conch and rook tend to take the longest at 9-12 months.
What is the difference between a keloid and a piercing bump?
Keloid is a chronic medical condition. An individual diagnosed with this condition should refrain from getting piercings. Conversely, piercing bumps, are often called "keloids" when in actuality they are just bumps that form from the piercing getting knocked or hit. Review our healing protocol if you think you're experiencing a piercing bump.
How long do I have to stay out of pools, lakes, hot tubs?
Every piercing artist and establishment will have a different answer for this. An infection can happen at any time during a piercing that is healing. We recommend waiting at least one week and we recommend spraying your fresh piercing with saline or hypochlorous acid spray upon exiting the pool/lake/hot tub.
